Look up in the World

As you walk along a street in a big city you have a tendency to only look at street level, what I have noticed is if you look up you have a tendency of seeing some of the history associated with the street or city. Also when renovations take place to shops layers of history can be revealed when old paint and signs are removed. Edinburgh along with other cities in the UK used to publish Trade Directories and it is my intention to use these to try and give a wee bit more about the history.

This sign on the corner of Guthrie Street and Chambers Street indicates where Sir Walter Scott was born.
